Founded in 1986, Companhia das Letras is one of Brazil's leading publishing houses, renowned for the quality of its catalogue, spanning literary fiction, non-fiction and reference works. Since joining Penguin Random House in 2011, the Group has grown to include more than twenty publishing imprints, while preserving the editorial identity of each one and maintaining close relationships with authors, agents, and readers.
